I am Dorothy Spann, Founder and President of Rose of Sharon Women’s Empowerment Center. We are a grassroots non-profit organization focused on supporting homeless single female-headed families, offering community resources and skill building for long-term growth and stability. 

Our mission is to assist individuals and families who are homeless or on the verge of homelessness and equip them to become self-sufficient through needed programs and services. Our vision is to provide at-risk individuals and families with adequate housing and other resources to attain long-term stability.

We are so proud of the work we accomplished and are striving to do bigger and better things as we move forward. We receive calls on a weekly basis from multiple homeless individuals and families seeking permanent housing. However, our organization is unable to assist the families with permanent housing due to a lack of funds. Which is why we are asking for your help. 

Our goal is to raise $550,000 by December 2023 to purchase 1-2 home(s) to provide a safe and secure environment for homeless families. We are a 501(C)3 and tax-exempt organization.
